We are a small business in Goldsboro, NC. We are in our 5th decade of providing water treatment services and products to a wide range of industrial, commercial, governmental, and institutional users. Our Outside Sales force of 17 team members is based in NC, SC, and VA and averages over 20 years of experience in the industry which has allowed us to gain a position of prominence in the industry. Our Inside Office staff consists of 15 office, lab, and manufacturing members located at the main office in Goldsboro. Our work environment is professional, has low in-person contact with customers or the public, and offers casual work attire.

We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing industrial and commercial customer orders received via email, telephone, and portal transfer. This position requires professional telephone and email communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to think strategically, as well as the ability to stay focused in a 3-4 employee open office. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. More than basic knowledge of accounting highly preferred due to backup role for additional office positions, such as Accounts Payable/Receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Process orders received from customers via email, telephone, & portals in a timely manner.
• Invoice orders shipped from office location as well as drop-ship orders from other suppliers.
• Upload invoices/download Purchase Orders/Work Orders from customer portals, such as Ariba, Coupa, Tradeshift, and various other customer specific platforms.
• Prepare price quotes to current and prospective customers under direction of Outside Sales team.
• Provide product and service information to customers.
• Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Interact with co-workers and management in a professional manner.
• Train in duties of other office staff to serve as a backup within the office. Areas include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger basic accounting.
